Endowed chairs and fellowships attract and retain renowned educators, enabling them to purse their professional goals, and make lasting contributions for our students and community.  Our School’s reputation is built in large part by the success of our faculty members. Because of donor generosity, we have hired and retained key faculty, boosted research funding, trained the next generation of economists, and solidified our position on the vanguard of culture research. 

Professor Grace McLaughlin was honored with the 2020 Lecturer of the Year Award, presented by the Academic Senate Council on Teaching, Learning and Student Experience. 

This campus wide Celebration of Teaching Award is based on nominations from peers, colleagues and students.

Professor Connie (Cornelia) Pechmann was honored with the inaugural Academic Senate Special Award for Impact on Society and also the first AMA-EBSCO Annual Responsible Research in Marketing Award presented by the American Marketing Association and EBSCO.


Three esteemed faculty at The UCI Paul Merage School of Business retired over the summer. Mary Gilly, Mort Pincus and Rick So have provided a combined 64 years of teaching, research and service to UCI.
